  Permanent Status
 
To obtain permanent resident status, you must apply for a permanent resident visa under one of the following classes.
    Federal Skilled Worker Class
  Federal Skilled Worker Class is suitable to applicants who;
 
  • are working as a supervisor, manager, professional, or skilled trade,
  • are relatively proficient in English and/or French, and
  • completed post secondary education.
  •     Provincial Nominee Class (PNP)
      Provincial nominees are selected based on their ability to contribute to the province's economic development. Usually, but not always, a genuine Canadian job offer from an employer within the province is a requirement under the Provincial Nominee Program.
        Quebec Skilled Worker Class
      The province of Quebec has original criteria and exclusive power to select prospective immigrants who intend to settle permanently in the province of Quebec.
        Business Class
      The stated goal of Canada's Business Immigration Program is to promote economic development and employment by attracting investors, entrepreneurs and self-employed persons from outside Canada with venture capital, business acumen and entrepreneurial skills.
      Family Class
     

    A Canadian citizen or permanent resident can sponsor his/her partner or close relatives and assist them in immigrating to Canada.

        Live-in Caregiver Class
      This category is suitable to individuals who are currently working or are interested in working as a live-in caregiver.
